Story

My wife Jeanine died from a GI Cancer. She was only 44.

When she was diagnosed less than 3 years earlier I didn't know much about GI Cancers. The cancer my wife died from is extremely rare.

As a result little research has been done to find a cure. These GI cancers are known as the neglected cancers. They don't have pink cricket matches nor slides into ice to raise funds or raise awareness. It's up to a small dedicated group of people.

Cancers such as breast and prostate were once in the same situation as GI cancers are now. Survival rates were low. However, research and clinical trials over the past 20 or so years have pushed survival rates to over 95%.

I believe we can do the same for these GI cancers - stomach, pancreas, bowel, liver etc.

It just needs you to support me in my attempt to raise much needed money for clinical trials and research. Hope you can donate something.

I'm taking that step to making a difference and walking for a cause that's close to my heart. Please take your step and support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the GI Cancer Institute to support research in to new treatments and improving outcomes for the 24,600 Australians diagnosed with a gastro-intestinal cancer each year.

Thanks so much for your support!
