Russell Conley & Nicole Shore
Story
Hi there!
This year we are working as a team to complete the Gutsy 'Overland' Challenge. Due to ill health Russell, CEO GI Cancer Institute, won't be in a position to complete the trek however Nicole, GI Cancer Institute Gutsy Challenge coordinator, has agreed to step up and walk the 65kms on his behalf.
Our intention is to raise awareness and much needed funds for gastro-intestinal clinical trials. GI cancer affects all areas of the digestive tract and includes oesophageal, stomach, pancreatic, liver, gallbladder, biliary tract, bowel and colorectal cancers.
In Australia over 24,600 people are diagnosed every year. Research in to vital new treatments is critical to improve the outcomes for these individuals and provide hope to them and their loved ones. By conducting research here in Australia, patients are able to access new treatments up to 5 years earlier than if it was conducted overseas.
Please support our efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to the GI Cancer Institute and directed towards our Innovation Fund annual grant.
Thanks so much for your support!
